What you actually do

The official description is an incremental loop. You open ability packs and collect powers in lightning, fire, frost, gravity, time, shadow, gold, and more. Each card has its own moves. Leveling a card unlocks its strongest ability. You fight through zones, beat bosses, open loot chests, and carry packs home. Cards placed on base holders keep earning cash while you fight.

Upgrades, trails, and auras raise Power, Health, and speed. Kill streaks add extra multiplier and crits. The Index pays permanent rewards by rarity. Leaderboards track Top Cash and Top Power. The named final boss is Dominus Empyreus. Liking the game and joining the group is described as granting a free Legend Pack.
