Ads and analytics load by default

When you first open a page and this browser has no saved choice, the site loads analytics and advertising scripts by default; Google advertising storage and advertising signals begin denied, while analytics storage begins granted. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra therefore load on that first view, together with the page itself. The cookie banner still appears on that first visit to tell you what loaded and to offer a one-click withdrawal. It is a notice, not a gate. Pressing Reject turns all three off and stores that refusal for 180 days; pressing Accept keeps them on and stores that choice for 180 days. The Cookie settings link in the footer reopens the banner so you can change your mind at any time. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track (DNT), the site treats that as Reject before analytics, replay or advertising tags are created.

What the site stores on your device

Third parties that load

These are the vendors this build actually loads. Each is named with the cookies or storage it may set and the reason it is there.

No stored choice means granted: the first view loads GA4, Clarity and Adsterra, and the banner explains that and offers Reject. Reject replaces the record with denied and the page reloads with none of the three loaded; the refusal lasts 180 days. Accept keeps the granted record. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner whenever you want to switch. When the choice is denied, GA4 consent signals for ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization and analytics storage are all set to denied, Clarity is told consent is false, and the Adsterra tags are not created. GPC and DNT are treated as Reject and are checked before any tag is created.

Personalised-advertising controls, independent of this site, are https://adssettings.google.com/ for Google, https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/ for EU/UK participants, and https://optout.aboutads.info/ for the US DAA. Adsterra’s own policy explains how to contact it about ad data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal data we hold, and you can object to a legitimate-interest use. Email the address above. We have no account database. The practical deletion step on your side is clearing sas_consent and sas_social_closed in this site’s local storage, plus the _ga*, _clck, _clsk, CLID and MUID cookies through your browser settings. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local authority.

The two local-storage records stop controlling the site after 180 days and are replaced when you make a new choice; browser storage may retain the expired record until it is replaced or cleared. Reject prevents new vendor tags on the reloaded page; existing vendor cookies may remain until they expire or you delete them in browser settings. Analytics and ad vendors keep their own cookies for the periods listed above and under their own policies; we do not receive a copy of those cookie stores. The hosting provider controls any server-log retention; a fixed retention period is not available to this guide. We do not sell personal information.

Changes to this policy

We will change this page when the scripts change. The date under the title is the date of the last edit. Continued use after that date means you have the new text. A material change is also noted on the updates page.
